Use Brain AI tools from personal connections

Use Brain AI tools from your personal app connections in Super Agents, Autopilot Agents, and Brain.

To use Super Agents, you'll need to activate the AI ClickApp for your Workspace.

If you want to interact with Super Agents via Chat, you'll need to activate the Chat ClickApp.

Use Brain AI tools from personal connections

After setting up a personal connection, you can use tools from the app in Agents and Brain to search files, draft emails, retrieve information, and more. 

You can also use tools from apps with Workspace connections.

Security for personal connection tools

By adding personal app knowledge to your Agent configuration, you expose the data from the connected app to anyone who can interact with the Agent.

Real-world examples

For example, if you add your personal Gmail to an Agent:

  • Anyone using the Agent can search your emails
  • Anyone using the Agent can see your email content in the results
  • Anyone using the Agent can trigger actions using your connection
  • They cannot change which accounts are connected
  • They cannot see your login credentials for the connected app

Only people with access to the original connected account can edit the configuration of Brain AI tools from that account. Others can remove the tools or switch them to their own account.

Best practices

For personal Agents (only you can use):

  • Safe to use your personal app connections

For Workspace Agents (shared with team):

  • Use a dedicated team account instead of a personal account

Always review which accounts are connected and who can access the Agent before adding tools from a personal connection.

Disconnected apps

If an app's personal connection is deactivated, its tools and knowledge will no longer be accessible from Agents and Brain.

Allow Super Agents to search your email inbox, GitHub, and more

Activating Connected Search for a personal connection doesn't automatically allow your Super Agents to search the app.

To achieve this, you'll need to activate External Search for each app in each Super Agent's profile.

Notion and Salesforce cannot be searched by Super Agents or Brain.
