Update, consolidate, and remove custom task types from your Workspace.
Only Workspace owners and admins can edit and delete custom task types.

Edit a task type
To edit a task type:
- Go to your Workspace settings.
- In the settings menu on the left, click Task Types.
- On the right of the custom task type, click the ellipsis ... icon.
- Click Edit.
- Update the icon, name, plural name, or description.
- Click Save.
- Your changes will apply to any existing or new tasks using the custom task type.
Delete a task type
When deleting a custom task type, you'll have the option to reassign any existing tasks to a new type.
If a large number of tasks need to be reassigned, it may take a few minutes to complete your changes.
- Go to your Workspace settings.
- In the settings menu on the left, click Task Types.
- On the right of the custom task type, click the ellipsis ... icon.
- Find the task type you want to delete, and click the ellipsis ... to the right of the task name.
- Click Delete.
- Re-enter the name of the task type to confirm you want to delete it.
- Use the dropdown to select another task type to reassign any existing tasks to.
- Click Yes, Delete to confirm.
