Rename a Channel in ClickUp 4.0

There are multiple ways to rename a Channel in ClickUp 4.0.

From your Home Sidebar

To rename a Channel from your Home Sidebar:

1. In your Global Navigation, click Home.

2. In the Channels section of your Home Sidebar, hover over the Channel and click the ellipsis ... icon.
   • Alternatively, right-click the Channel.
3. Select Rename.
   
4. Type a new name.
5. Click Rename to save.

From the Chat Sidebar

To rename a Channel from the Chat Sidebar:

1. In your Global Navigation, click Chat.

   • If you don't see the item in your Global Navigation, click More and select it.

   • To keep the item visible in your Global Navigation, pin it.

2. In the Chat Sidebar, right-click the Channel.
3. Select Rename.
4. Type a new name.
5. Click Rename to save.

From its header

To rename a Channel from its header:

1. Open the Channel.
2. At the top, hover over the Channel name.
3. Click the ellipsis ... menu.
4. Select Rename.
5. Type a new name.
6. Click Rename to save.

From the details sidebar

To rename a Channel from the details sidebar:

1. Open the Channel.
2. In the floating sidebar on the right, click Settings or the Settings icon.
3. In the details sidebar, hover over the name and click the edit icon.
4. Type a new name.
5. Click Rename to save.

Rename a Channel in ClickUp 3.0

There are multiple ways to rename a Channel in ClickUp 3.0.

From Chat's sidebar

To rename a Channel from Chat's sidebar:

1. Open Chat.
2. In the Channels section of Chat's sidebar, right-click the Channel.
3. Select Rename.
4. Type a new name.
5. Click Rename to save.

From its header

To rename a Channel from its header:

1. Open the Channel.
2. At the top, hover over the Channel name.
3. Click the ellipsis ... menu.
4. Select Rename.
5. Type a new name.
6. Click Rename to save.

From the details sidebar

To rename a Channel from the details sidebar:

1. Open the Channel.
