In any task layout, you'll see the relationships, links, and integrations connected to the task.
Use relationships from tasks
View existing relationships using the tabs displayed on the right. The options displayed vary based on:
- The ClickApps enabled for your Workspace and the Space where the task exists.
- If the task has been related by the relationship type.
For example, if a task has not been linked to or mentioned in any other tasks, the Task Links tab will not be displayed.
Relationship types from tasks
Relationship types displayed on tasks include:

Dependencies:
- Blocking: Tasks that are blocking the current task from being completed.
- Waiting: Tasks that are waiting for the current task to be completed.
- Task Links:
- Linked: Tasks directly linked to the current task.
- References: Tasks where the current task has been mentioned.
- Docs Links:
- Docs: Docs directly linked to the current task.
- References: Docs where the current task has been mentioned.
Show or hide specific fields
From Blocking, Waiting, and Task Links tabs, you can customize which fields are displayed by clicking the plus icon on the upper-right.
View relationships in full screen mode
Blocking, Waiting, Task Links, Docs Links, and Related tabs can all be viewed in a full screen mode by clicking the full screen icon.
Create or add a relationship from a task
To create or add a relationship from a task:
- On the right, click + More to add or create a relationship.
- Add a link or relationship:
- Connect a URL: Copy and paste a link to any website.

Add Relationship:
- Link Task: Directly link the current task to another task.
- Waiting on: Set another task as waiting for the current task to be completed.
- Blocking: Set another task as blocking the current task from being completed.
- Custom Relationships: Select an existing relationship or click + Custom to create a custom relationship.
Use integrations from tasks
Third party apps, including apps integrated with your ClickUp Workspace, are displayed on the right, below the relationships tabs.
Links
When websites are mentioned in the task description or comments, they will be displayed in either:
- Website specific tabs: Display links on their tab, including YouTube, Figma, Google Docs, Google Drive, Github, and more.
- Links tabs: Displays links to other websites that have been mentioned in the task or comments.
Integrations
Icons for integrations are displayed on tasks once they've been added to your Workspace by an owner or admin through the App Center.
The actions you can take on tasks varies for each integration.
