Table view

With Table view, every row is the same height, every field is a column, and by default, there is no separation by List or status. Table view offers a condensed view, which is great for viewing a lot of information at once.

What you'll need

  • Table view is available on all ClickUp plans.

  • You can export Table views up to 5 times on our Free Forever and Unlimited Plans.

  • You can export unlimited Table views on our Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise Plans.

  • Guests can access Table views on any List or Folder they have access permissions to view.

Add a Table view

To add a Table view:

  1. Click + Add in the Views Bar to open the Views modal.

    • Optional: You can check the Private view box if you don't want anyone else to access this view or the Pin view box if you want the view to always display in your Views Bar.
  2. Select Table.

    • Once the view has been created you can give the view a name and customize it using the Customize menu on the right.

Use a Table view

Table view allows you to choose what you want to see and hide what you don't.

For example, you always see tags on List view with no option to hide them. In Table view, tags are a column you can hide if they aren't relevant to you.

You can use the arrows on your keyboard to navigate between cells and quickly update information along the way.

Add columns

You can display additional columns or create new Custom Fields from any Table view.

To add columns to a Table view:

  1. In the upper-right corner above the task table, click the plus icon.
  2. Select a Custom Field type to create a new field and add it as a column, or click Add existing fields at the bottom to show or hide Custom Fields that exist at that Hierarchy level.

Copy and paste data from a Table view

Easily copy and paste your Table info into other programs, like Excel. Just click and drag to highlight the cells you want to copy.

We don't allow pasting into ClickUp Tables at this time.

Pin columns

Pin a column so it stays visible as you scroll through your Table. To do so, click the column title you want to pin and select Pin Column.

Change row height

To adjust the height of the rows in Table view:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click Customize
  2. From the Customize view menu, select Layout options then Row height
  3. Select a row height.

Show subtasks

If you want to show subtasks, they'll appear independent of their parent task and will be sorted by all grouping, sorting, and filters.

To show or hide subtasks in Table view:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click Customize
  2. From the Customize view menu, select Layout options then subtasks
  3. Click the Subtasks toggle on to show or off to hide subtasks.
