Table view

  • Updated

With Table view, every row is the same height, every field is a column, and by default, there is no separation by List or status. Table view offers a condensed view, which is great for viewing a lot of information at once.

Use a Table view

Table view allows you to choose what you want to see and hide what you don't!

For example, you always see tags on List view with no option to hide them. In Table view, tags are a column you can hide if they aren't relevant to you.

You can use the arrows on your keyboard to navigate between cells and quickly update information along the way.

Add Columns

You can show additional columns and create new Custom Fields right from any Table view.

  1. You can add columns one of three ways in Table view:

    • Click the + icon.

    • Click Columns.

    • Click Show and select Columns.

  2. Pick an existing field to add to this view.

  3. Click New Column to create and add a new Custom Field.

Copy and paste data from a Table view

Easily copy and paste your Table info into other programs, like Excel. Just click and drag to highlight the cells you want to copy.

We don't allow pasting into ClickUp Tables at this time.

Show subtasks in Table View

There are two options for showing subtasks in Table View: Showing Subtasks or Hiding Subtasks.

If you want to show subtasks, they'll appear independent of their parent task and will be sorted by all grouping, sorting, and filters.

Click the Showing Subtasks option to hide subtasks from the view.

If icon placement on your screen looks a little different than in this example, you could be using a different Workspace layout!
