Why Use the Tray
Priorities aren't always 100% accurate.
Tasks with overlapping due dates aren't ideal.
Tracking tasks through the notifications feed can be overwhelming.
Put Docs you're actively working on in your personal Tray, right next to your minimized tasks!
Minimize Tasks to Tray
You can also conveniently send a task to your tray from many places in your Workspace!
From a task window: locate the minimize button in the upper-right corner of the window and click to dock the task into your tray

After you create a new task: you can move it to your tray from the pop-up note on the bottom left of your screen
In the search feature: When you are searching for a task using the
s hotkey, or the magnifying glass icon in the top right of your screen, you have the option to send a task to your tray
Remove Tasks from Tray
Tasks in your tray are easily removed with the x button.
Additionally, when you open a task that is in your tray, you will see a green checkmark on the minimize button.
Hovering over it will reveal a red x that removes the task from your tray.
Don't fear tasks being misplaced!
Opening ClickUp in a new browser tab will retain your docked tasks for further use!
Minimizing (or closing) a task with a partially written comment will save the comment as a draft.
Reordering Items in Your Tray
Rearrange the tasks in your tray with the following task handle - great for lining them up in the order you want to tackle them!
