This feature allows you to see the version history of your task description and to restore it. 

You can also view your task description in full screen or print it!

What you'll need

• Task description history is available on every ClickUp plan.
• Task descriptions cannot exceed 256 KB.

Open the task description history

To open the task description history:

1. Open a task.
2. Hover over the task description.
3. In the upper-right corner, click the History icon to open the description history modal.
   
4. Or, from the task settings menu, click Description History.

Restore a previous version

To restore a previous version of the task description:

1. Open the task description history.
2. Click a timestamp on the right hand side.
3. Review the saved version of the task description.
4. In the lower-right corner, click Restore this version.
