Link your Gmail account

Link your Gmail account to ClickUp so you can send and receive emails within tasks.

What you'll need

  • Workspace owners or admins can enable the Email ClickApp.
  • Guests can't use the Email ClickApp.
  • Usage limits are determined by your plan:
    • Free Forever Workspaces get one free email account with 100 uses.
    • Unlimited Workspaces get one free email account with unlimited use.
    • Business Workspaces and above get two free email accounts, including signatures and email templates.
    • Business Plus and Enterprise Workspaces can use custom email permissions for admins and members.
  • Each email account you add can automatically transfer up to 100 contacts into ClickUp.

Link your Gmail account

You can link your Gmail account from a task or your Workspace settings.

Link your Gmail account from tasks

Members and above can link their Gmail accounts from tasks:

  1. In the lower-right corner of a task, click the comment field.
  2. Click the Email tab.
  3. In the From field, select Link an email. If there's already an email account linked, click Add new.

  4. Select Sign in with Google and follow the prompts.
  5. Choose who can send emails from this account, create signatures, and create email templates.
  6. Click Done

Link your Gmail account from your Workspace settings

Admins can link their Gmail accounts from their Workspace settings:

  1. In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar and select Settings.
  2. In the All settings sidebar, click Email Integration.
  3. Select Sign in with Google and follow the prompts.
    • If an email has already been added, you must click Add new first.
  4. Choose who can send emails from this account, create signatures, and create email templates.
  5. Click Done

Remove your Gmail account

When unlinking your Gmail account, it is removed from the entire Workspace for security reasons. This impacts your Google Calendar integration, Google Drive attachments, and the ability to send emails from ClickUp. You'll need to re-add your Google account to continue using these features.

You can remove your Gmail account from tasks or your Workspace settings.

Remove your Gmail account from a task

Members and above can unlink their Gmail accounts from tasks:

  1. In the lower-right corner of a task, click the comment field.
  2. Click the Email tab.
  3. In the From field, click your email address.
  4. Select Manage accounts.
  5. Hover over the email address you want to remove.
  6. Click the trash icon.
  7. Click Delete to confirm.

Admins can unlink Gmail accounts from their Workspace settings:

  1. In the upper-left corner, click your Workspace avatar and select Settings.
  2. In the All settings sidebar, click Email Integration.
  3. Hover over the email address you want to remove.
  4. Click the trash icon.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.
