Update your credit card information

Workspace owners and admins can add a card, delete a card, or set a default payment method from the billing page of the Workspace settings.

Only owners and admins have access to billing settings. Only the last four digits of your card number and the expiration date are visible.

What you'll need

  • Since Free Forever Plans don't require payment, you can't access billing settings unless you upgrade.
  • To upgrade to a paid plan, you must have one debit or credit card on file.
  • Only Workspace owners or admins can access and edit billing settings.

Accepted cards

We accept the following debit and credit cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Maestro
  • American Express
  • Discover

We can't process prepaid debit cards or PayPal at this time. 

Add a card

To add a card:

  1. Click your Workspace avatar.
    • In ClickUp 2.0, this is located in the lower-left corner.
    • In ClickUp 3.0, this is located in the upper-left corner.
  2. Select Billing.
  3. From the Billing page in the upper-left corner, select the Billing tab. 
  4. In the Payment method section, click Add Card.
  5. In the Add a new card modal, enter the card information.
    • Zip code is only required when United States is selected as the country. If you have trouble adding your card, try adding it without the zip code.
  6. Click Add.
    • If you already have a card on file, you'll have the option to make this new card your default. You can also do this later.

Set a default payment method

When your Workspace is due for renewal or you add additional member seats, we'll charge your default payment method.

If you have one card on file, that is your default payment method. When adding an additional card, you'll have the option to make it your default payment method. 

Your Workspace can only have one default card at a time. If you have a current default card, the new default will replace it. The old default will remain in your billing settings but can be deleted.

To set a new default payment method at any time:

  1. Click your Workspace avatar.
    • In ClickUp 2.0, this is located in the lower-left corner.
    • In ClickUp 3.0, this is located in the upper-left corner.
  2. Select Billing.
  3. From the Billing page in the upper-left corner, select the Billing tab. 
  4. In the Payment method section, in the upper-right corner of the card click the ellipsis ... and select Set as Default.

Delete a card

You can't delete your default payment method when you have one card on file. You can add a second card, make it your default payment method, and delete the other card.

To delete a card:

  1. Click your Workspace avatar.
    • In ClickUp 2.0, this is located in the lower-left corner.
    • In ClickUp 3.0, this is located in the upper-left corner.
  2. Select Billing.
  3. From the Billing page in the upper-left corner, select the Billing tab. 
  4. In the Payment method section, in the upper-right corner of the card click the ellipsis ... and click the trash icon.
    If you only have one payment method on file and want to delete it, please contact us for assistance.
