What are Super Agents?

Super Agents are ClickUp’s AI-powered teammates. 

They're designed to save time, boost productivity, and adapt to your Workspace with intelligence and human-like interactions. These self-learning ambient Agents have the complete context of your Workspace, allowing them to efficiently and securely perform multi-step workflows around the clock. 

Super Agents can perform research, provide suggestions, notify you when projects are behind, and much more. Members and admins can create and customize Super Agents for any type of work imaginable.

You control which tools and data sources they can access and who in your Workspace can trigger and manage them.

To use Super Agents, you'll need to use ClickUp 4.0 and activate the AI ClickApp for your Workspace.

If you want to interact with Super Agents via Chat, you'll need to activate the Chat ClickApp.

Super Agents are a new feature that exists only in ClickUp 4.0. If you've been using our Autopilot Agents, learn how to continue to manage and edit these Agents.  

Get to know Super Agents

ClickUp Agents have the following characteristics:

  • Collaborative: You can automatically or manually trigger the Super Agent to perform the work it was designed for. 
  • Intuitive: Our Super Agent builder is a natural-language conversation between you and ClickUp Brain.

  • Flexible: Our Super Agent builder helps you easily configure multi-step workflows using customizable tools and data sources across your Workspace, and from selected external apps.
  • Intelligent: Super Agents can perform multi-step reasoning, have memory that evolves, and learn from errors and feedback.
  • Secure: You have full control over who can use Super Agents, every action is logged, and they seek human approval for critical decisions.
  • Different from ClickUp Autopilot Agents: Our Autopilot Agents perform actions based on defined triggers and conditions, rather than adaptive, human-like interactions.

  • Creative briefs: Drafting creative briefs using the context of a task or Chat, including actionable improvements to standardize intake and accelerate approvals.
  • Feature briefs: Converting feature requests into structured briefs, enabling Agile teams to align scope, estimate time efficiently, and reduce rework.
  • Follow-up emails: Turning AI Notetaker meeting notes into concise, client-ready follow-up emails, capturing decisions, owners, and due dates for clear next steps.
