Will databases be brought over?

Yes, databases will be imported.

Will inline databases include field data?

Yes, but those values are hidden by default. Once imported, you can reveal inline database fields manually by clicking the plus icon in the upper right-hand of the database.

Notion import does not support importing inline database task comments and task descriptions.

Are inline database task attachments imported?

No, these cannot be imported.

How are fields from Notion imported?

Fields from Notion will be imported as Text Custom Fields.

How do we handle infinite nesting?

Documents will be nested the same as they are in Notion, but all databases will be imported into a single Folder.

Are there other page attributes that we don't import?

The following formatting elements from Notion will be imported as plain text or bullet points in ClickUp:

  • Toggles
  • Checkboxes,
  • Callouts/comments
  • Table of contents
  • Cover images
  • Bookmarks
  • Columns
  • Dividers
  • Buttons
  • Videos
  • Blocks
  • Page icons
  • Code blocks

If the doc/page was a wiki in Notion, will it be imported with the same properties?

Wikis in ClickUp are created at the document level. So you can import Notion pages into ClickUp Docs and convert them to wikis. 

Does page history import?

No, page history is not imported.

Can I import page comments?

You can choose to include or exclude page comments when exporting from Notion. If included, comments will be added to the bottom of the page.

Why are my tasks importing with different names?

To make sure the import is successful, we match the task names based on the values in the left column. To avoid this, verify that your databases are organized in the way that you'd like them to appear on the import before attempting to import again.
