Move a Doc

Move Docs between tasks, subtasks, and views. You can also add Docs to the Sidebar.

Move a Doc

You can move a Doc from Docs Home or Doc settings.

From Docs Home:

  1. To the right of a Doc, click the ellipsis ... icon.
  2. If the Doc already exists in a location, select Move to. If the Doc doesn't already exist in a location, select Add to.
  3. Choose from the following options:
  • Task: Move the Doc to a task. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • List, Folder, or Space (as a view): Move the Doc to a List, Folder, or Space as a Doc view. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • Sidebar: Move the Doc to the Sidebar. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • Remove current location: Remove the Doc from its current location. The Doc will remain accessible from Docs Home.

From Doc settings:

  1. Open the Doc.
  2. In the upper-right, click the ellipsis ... icon.
  3. If the Doc exists in a location, select Move to. If the Doc doesn't already exist in a location, select Add to.
  4. Choose from the following options:
  • Task: Move the Doc to a task. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • List, Folder, or Space (as a view): Move the Doc to a List, Folder, or Space as a Doc view. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • Sidebar: Move the Doc to the Sidebar. The Doc will also remain accessible from Docs Home.
  • Remove current location: Remove the Doc from its current location. The Doc will remain accessible from Docs Home.

Remove current location is only available if the Doc already exists in a location.
