Move Docs between tasks, subtasks, and views. You can also add Docs to the Sidebar.
What you'll need
- You can move Docs on every plan.
- Guests with edit or full permissions can move Docs.
Docs and wikis
A wiki is a Doc that's prioritized as the source of truth. Unless specified, anything that applies to Docs also applies to wikis.

Move a Doc
To move a Doc
- Open the Doc.
- In the upper-right, click the ellipsis ... icon.
- If the Doc exists in a location, select Move to. If the Doc doesn't already exist in a location, select Add to.
- Choose from the following options:
- Task: Move the Doc to a task.
- List, Folder, or Space (as a view): Move the Doc to a List, Folder, or Space as a Doc view.
- Sidebar: Move the Doc to the Sidebar.

Remove current location: Remove the Doc from its current location.
This option is only available if the Doc already exists in a location.
You can also move a Doc in Doc view by clicking and dragging it to a different location.
