ClickUp is required to charge Value-Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), or sales tax in certain jurisdictions. We determine the tax rate applied to your ClickUp bill using the address entered during checkout.
We will begin charging taxes in June 2025, starting with Canada and South Africa and gradually expanding to other regions. No action is needed from customers in the US or Puerto Rico at this time.
Tax exemption
ClickUp uses your Tax ID to determine if you are a business or a consumer. If you’re located in a jurisdiction where ClickUp is only required to account for tax on supplies to non-tax registered recipients, and ClickUp has verified your Tax ID, we will not charge you tax.
VAT-registered businesses may be responsible for accounting for the VAT under the reverse charge mechanism and reporting the tax in your tax return. We recommend checking with your tax advisor or local tax authority if you’re unsure of your exact requirements.
