URL links in tasks

Any web links added to tasks are kept organized in a dedicated section of the right sidebar.

This article covers task view 3.0 and task view 4.0. Learn what's new in task view 4.0!

Views links in task view 4.0

To view links from a task:

  • Click on the links button.
  • In the upper-right corner, click the toggle to switch between List and Gallery view.

Gallery view displays each link with a preview card.

Add a link to a task in task view 4.0

In task view 4.0, you can add links to tasks several ways:

Add a link as a related item

To add a link as a related item:

  1. From the right sidebar, click Add Apps.
  2. Paste a link.
  3. Add an optional title and description.
  4. Click Add Link.
  5. The link is automatically added to the Links page in the right sidebar.

Edit links

From the Links page, you can take action on links.

  1. Hover over a link and select an action:
    • Remove: Remove the link from the task.
    • Copy: Copy the link to your clipboard.
    • New Tab: Open the link in a new tab.

Add a link to a task in task view 3.0

In an open task, you can paste the link into the task comments or description.

Or you can add the URL as a Relationship.

To add a URL as a Relationship:

  1. Open a task.
  2. On the far right, click More.
  3. Paste the link into the Connect a URL text box.

When websites are mentioned in the task description or comments, they will be displayed in either:

  • Website specific tabs: Display links on their tab, including YouTube, Figma, Google Docs, Google Drive, Github, and more.
  • Links tabs: Displays links to other websites that have been mentioned in the task or comments.
