What is Deep Search?

The Deep Search tool performs a much more thorough search across your entire Workspace. 

It will find information buried deep in Docs, tasks, and other assets, even if they’re years old or hard to locate with standard search.

Deep Search can also access data available through connected apps and MCP servers.

Deep Search is especially useful in large Workspaces with lots of data. It's also useful for complex, multistep searches.

Search deeply with Brain AI

To use Deep Search, from Brain:

1. Enter a question into the prompt field. For example, you could type: "Deep search for tasks that put this project at risk".

2. Deep Search questions may take longer than normal replies.

3. After Brain responds, you have the following choices:
   • Copy: Copy the text to paste it manually into another location. You can also manually copy any part of the generated text.
   • Create a task: Create a task from the response.
   • Create a Doc: Create a Doc from the response.
   • Retry: Generate a slightly different response from the same prompt.
   • Like or Dislike: Upvote or downvote the response to help us improve ClickUp Brain AI!
