Post types
There are four types of Posts:
- Announcement
- Discussion
- Idea
- Update

Create a Post
There are multiple ways to create a Post.
From the Posts page
To create a Post from the Posts page:
- In your Global Navigation, click Home.
- In your Home Sidebar, select Posts.
If you don't see the item in your Home Sidebar, click More and select it.
To keep the item visible in your Home Sidebar, pin it.
- In the upper-right corner, click New Post.
- Name your Post.
- Type out the content of your Post or use Talk to Text to transcribe your voice. You can upload attachments and use rich text editing in your Post.
- Click the Select Channel dropdown.
- Search or scroll for a Channel.
- Optional: To change the Post type, click Announcements and select a new type.
- Click Post.
From a Channel
To create a Post from a Channel:
- Open the Channel.
- Below your draft message, select Message.
- Choose a Post type.
- Name your Post.
- Type out the content of your Post or use Talk to Text to transcribe your voice. You can upload attachments and use rich text editing in your Post.
- In the lower-right corner, click the send icon.
Create a Post using Talk to Text
When drafting a Post, you can use Talk to Talk to transcribe your voice.
To use Talk to Text in a Post:
- When drafting your Post, click the microphone icon to start recording your voice.
- When you've finished speaking, click Transcribe. To cancel the recording, click the x icon.
- Make any final additions or edits to your draft, then click the send icon.
