Access ClickUp AI saved prompts

Saved prompts can be accessed in many locations where you use ClickUp AI. Saved prompts are part of the ClickUp AI prompt field.

To quickly open a prompt field and access saved prompts:

  1. In the lower-right corner of your screen or the toolbar, click the ClickUp AI icon.
  2. In the prompt field, click the wand icon.

Save and share a ClickUp AI prompt

To save and share an AI prompt:

  1. In the prompt field, click the wand icon. 
  2. Click Add prompt
  3. In the New Prompt modal, type a title and write your prompt. 
  4. In the Share with section, click one of the following selections:
    • Only Me: Make the prompt private to you.
    • Everyone: Make the prompt available to anyone in your Workspace with access to ClickUp AI. 
      View only guests and limited members view only cannot access AI.
    • Admins: Make the prompt available only to the admins in your Workspace. 
    • Select people: Click the people icon to search or browse for people who can use the prompt.

Reuse a ClickUp AI prompt

To reuse a saved AI prompt:

  1. In the prompt field, click the wand icon. 
  2. In the Add prompt modal, search or browse for the prompt. 
  3. Click the prompt to insert it into the prompt field and press Return or Enter.
  4. After AI answers, you can edit the content using the following options:
    • + Create and select Task or Doc
    • Copy: Copy the text to paste it manually into another location. You can also manually copy any part of the generated text.
    • Retry: Click to get a different response from the same prompt.
    • Tell AI what to do next: Give AI more direction or ask AI something new.
