Add a column block
Create a grid layout by adding columns using a /Slash Command.

From a Doc, wiki, Notepad, or task description type
/cols

Select the number of columns to add, and press Return or Enter to add columns.
- Add content to each column.
Add more columns
In Docs, you can add up to eight columns. In task descriptions and notes, you can add up to four columns.
To add additional columns, hover slightly above any column and click the plus icon to add a column to the right.
You can also add columns to the left or right using the column settings menu:
- Hover slightly above any column.
- Click the horizontal drag handle.
- Select the option to Insert column left or Insert column right.

There are two column settings menus, one for the whole column block and one for each individual column.
Edit column block settings
To display the menu options for the block of columns, hover slightly above any column and click the vertical drag handle on the upper-left.
Options include:
- Click and drag the vertical drag handle to move the column block up or down on the page.
- Click the vertical drag handle to open the column block menu, including:
- Column Alignment: Align the content in each column to the top, center, or bottom of the column.
- Turn into: Quickly apply formatting to all the content in every column.
- Duplicate: Create an identical column block on the same page.
- Reset column widths: Quickly reset columns to their default widths
- Delete all columns: Delete all columns and their content.
Edit column settings
You can edit settings for each individual column from the horizontal drag handle slightly above any column.
Options include:
- Click and drag the horizontal drag handle to move a column left or right.
- Click the horizontal drag handle to open the column settings menu, including:
- Insert column: Add a column to the left or right.
- Move column: Move the column to the left or right.
- Block color: Apply a background color to the entire column.
- Delete column: Delete the column and the content.
