Sprint points allow you to estimate the amount of effort to complete each item of work.
You can use sprint points:
- To estimate effort in sprints.
- In Workload view to track individual capacity and resource management.

Activate the Sprint Points ClickApp
To activate the Sprint Points ClickApp:
- Open the App Center.
- From the App Center's left sidebar, click All ClickApps.
- Browse or search for the Sprint Points ClickApp.
- Click the toggle to activate the Sprint Points ClickApp.
- You can use the dropdown menu to activate the ClickApp in specific Spaces.
- Click the Point values to customize the points available on tasks throughout your Workspace.
- Check Rollup Sprint Points to include subtask sprint points on parent tasks.
- Check Points per assignee to set different points for each assignee on tasks.
Sprint Point ClickApp settings
You can set your own value for the points and there are also optional settings you can enable. You'll need to choose one or more Spaces to enable Sprint Points for.
To select where the ClickApp is enabled, click the dropdown under Enabled in.
Sprint Point values
To set a value for your Sprint Points:
- From the Sprint Points ClickApp, click the Point values dropdown.
- Add, edit, or delete values.
Optional settings
Following are the optional settings:
- Rollup Sprint Points: Display the combined total of points from both the parent task and any subtasks.

Points per Assignee: Assign different points to individual assignees when using the Multiple Assignees ClickApp. The point total displayed for each task will be the sum of points assigned to each assignee.
When you remove an assignee from a task, their points will automatically be removed. If you remove the last assignee, their points will be left on the task.
Set Sprint Points for one assignee
If you're using the Sprint Points ClickApp, you can set Sprint points for one or multiple assignees.
- Open a task.
- Click the Sprint points field or type the /Slash Command
/ptsin the task description.
Set Sprint Points for multiple assignees
- In the Sprint Points ClickApp, make sure that the Points per Assignee checkbox is checked.
- Open a task.

Click the Sprint points field.
The full options for multiple assignees don't display when using the /Slash Command
/ptsto open the Sprint Points modal. - To the right of the assignee's avatar, click the dropdown.
- To manually add different points for each assignee, type or select a value.
- To set the same value for all assignees, click Set all and choose a point value.
- The point total displayed is the sum of points assigned for each assignee.
For example, if Sam has 5 points and Alex has 8 points, 13 points will display.
Update a task's Sprint Points
To update a task's number of Sprint Points:
- Hover over the existing Sprint Point value.
- Click into the points value text box to open the Sprint Points modal.
- Select or type a new value.
Use Sprint Points in Dashboards
You can use Dashboards to track your team's progress and capacity in a central location.
Select a card, or customize your own, and set Sprint Points as the y-axis value in any of the following cards:
- Line chart
- Bar chart
- Pie chart
- Battery chart
- Calculation
- Portfolio
- Burnup
- Burndown
- Cumulative Flow
- Velocity Chart
