To get started, download the Brain MAX desktop app:

If you use single sign-on (SSO) or two-factor authentication (2FA) in your Workspace, these methods will be used to sign in to the Brain MAX desktop app.

Chat with Brain

Have Brain answer your questions, search your Workspace or connected apps, search the web, and more on the Brain MAX desktop app.

Use Talk to Text

Use AI-powered Talk to Text to convert your voice to text completely hands-free in the Brain MAX desktop app or any text box. Use it when searching the web, composing an email, or writing a document!

Connect an app

To connect a new app from the Brain MAX desktop app:

  1. In the left sidebar, click Connections.
  2. Locate the app and click Connect.
  3. Sign in to the application to authorize access.

Connected Search is not supported for all apps.

Switch Workspaces

To switch Workspaces:

  1. At the bottom of the left sidebar, click your Workspace name.
  2. Select a new Workspace.

Sign out

To sign out of the Brain MAX desktop app:

  1. At the bottom of the left sidebar, click the settings icon.
  2. Select Sign out.

Yes. If you don't have an account and sign up for the Brain MAX desktop app, a Free Forever ClickUp Workspace will be created for you.

Do I have to download each new update?

Updates to the Brain MAX desktop app are downloaded and installed automatically when you open the app. If you have issues, fully close the app and reopen it.

Is my data secure when using the Brain MAX desktop app?

Yes! Here's why:

  • The Brain MAX desktop app does not give large language models (LLMs) direct access to your ClickUp information. Your Workspace data remains private and protected.
  • If your Workspace uses Single Sign-On (SSO) or two-factor authentication (2FA), these security measures are also used when signing in to the Brain MAX desktop app.
  • Any data processed by the Brain MAX desktop app follows ClickUp’s security protocols to ensure your information is handled safely.
