Use ClickUp Chat Agents

ClickUp Chat Agents adapt to changes in your Workspace to autonomously answer and act based on your team members' questions and requests!

Chat Agents can do things like answer questions based on specific knowledge sources or create tasks and Docs based on requests. Chat Agents can even reference information from Connected Search apps like Google Drive, Sharepoint, and Confluence.

Chat Agents availability

Chat Agents is currently in beta. We are gradually releasing Agents along with our Chat feature.  Currently, only public items can be accessed by Chat Agents.

Anyone with access to the Channel can use an Agent, this may change in the future. There may be limits on ClickUp Brain features in the future. Current ClickUp Brain usage is subject to our fair use policy.

Get to know Chat Agents

Chat Agents are a ClickUp Brain feature.

Chat Agents have the following characteristics:

  • Autonomy: After Chat Agents are activated, they make decisions based on the instructions, tools, and data they can access.
  • Reactivity: They perceive their environment and respond to changes in real time, allowing them to adapt to new situations. For example, they can answer questions asked in a Channel.
  • Proactivity: Chat Agents take initiative and perform actions to achieve their goals, rather than just reacting to external stimuli.
  • Interaction: They can interact with the locations and items in your Workspace they can access. They can also interact with people by responding to Channel messages.
  • Goal-oriented: Chat Agents are designed to achieve specific objectives. This guides their decision-making processes.
  • Customizable: They come with predefined prompts that can be customized.

Types of Chat Agents
