Custom cards are part of our Dashboards feature - giving you the ability to visualize how work is happening in your Workspace any way you want.

Widgets were renamed to cards on March 9th, 2023.

Your Workspace must be on the Unlimited Plan or higher to access the Portfolio, Text Block, and Chat cards. All other custom cards are available on the Business Plan or above.

How Custom Cards Work

Line Chart
Create a custom line chart with any data. 

Bar Chart
Create a custom bar chart with any data.

Pie Chart
Create a custom pie chart with any data. 

Battery Chart
Create a custom battery chart with any data. 

Calculation
Calculate sums, averages, and so much more for any tasks in your Workspace.

Portfolio
Categorize and track the progress of any Lists or Folders in your Workspace. 

Members and Guests who do not have access to the Spaces, Folders, and Lists displayed in a Portfolio card will only see the items they have permission to access. If they don't have access to any items shown in the card, it will be empty.

Text Block
Add rich text, images, and even use /slash commands to add context to your Dashboards.

Chat
Add a chat card to have conversations with anyone in your Dashboard.

How to Build a Custom Card

1. Select the Location: Select one or multiple Spaces, Folders, or Lists within your Workspace

2. Set the Time Range (If applicable): Only pull data for applicable items within a certain time range! Some time ranges include this year, month, week or a custom time frame. Choose if you want to view changes by days, weeks, or months

3. Select Value: The value is what will calculate and display in the graphs.

   • Task: Total task count

   • Time estimate: Total time estimated for completion

   • Average age of task: Display the average task age in your chart. This value is calculated by looking at all closed tasks and their total age (from creation to close)

   • Sprint points: Point system to manage workload

   • Money (Custom Field)

   • Numbers (Custom Field)

   • Automatic Progress (Custom Field): calculated completion of tasks

     • The Automatic Progress Custom Field is only available on the Portfolio card.

1. • Manual Progress (Custom Field): manual completion of tasks

   • Dropdown (Custom Field)

2. Set the Subtasks: Toggle subtasks to be included or excluded from the chart

3. Add a Filter: Add additional filters to further adjust the scope of your card

Some cards include a Group by setting. When grouping by a Custom Field, tasks that do not have a value for the set Custom Field will be placed into an Empty group.

Export card data

Users on the Business Plan and above can export card data.

Card options

Once your card is created, you can hover over it to reveal several options in the upper-right corner.

Your Dashboard must be in Edit mode to see all options.
