Create tasks without leaving a Slack conversation. This is one of the Slack actions offered through our integration.
What you'll need
- Tasks can be created using Slack on any ClickUp plan.
- Guests cannot create tasks using Slack.
- An owner or admin must enable the Slack integration before users can create tasks with Slack.
- Users must individually authorize Slack notifications before they can create tasks with Slack.
Create a task in Slack
To create a ClickUp task in Slack:
- Open a channel and type
/clickup new. - Select the Space, Folder, and List you want to create a task in.
- Fill out any task details you want to add.
- In the lower-right corner of the modal, click Create.
You can also create ClickUp tasks from Slack messages.
