With the Slack integration, you can receive notifications about new ClickUp tasks, status changes, new comments, new attachments, or assignee changes without ever leaving Slack.
What you'll need

You need to be a Workspace owner or admin to enable the Slack integration.

The Slack integration is available on every ClickUp Plan.

Everyone, including guests, can turn on Slack notifications.
Enable Slack Notifications
The Slack integration must be enabled by Workspace owners or admins before Slack notifications can be enabled. Follow the instructions in this article to learn how to enable the Slack integration!
You can only integrate one Slack workspace with ClickUp at a time.
Once the Slack integration has been enabled for the Workspace, you can enable notifications:

Click on your Workspace avatar in the lower left and choose Integrations from the options.

Select the Slack integration.

Select a Workspace.

Optional: Select a Folder and List.

Select the Slack channel where you want to receive notifications.
- Click Save.
After you've enabled notifications, you can click the settings icon on the right to adjust the types of notifications.
You can get notifications when the following actions happen in ClickUp:

Task Created: Receive a notification when a new task is created. The notification will include:
- Task name
- Who created it
- Start date
- Due date
- Priority
- Time Estimate
- Location of the task within the ClickUp Hierarchy (Space>Folder>List)

Status Changed: Receive a notification when a task's status is changed. The notification will include:
- Task name
- The task's previous and new status
- Who changed the status
- Start date
- Due date
- Priority
- Time Estimate
- Location of the task within the ClickUp Hierarchy (Space>Folder>List)
- New Comment: Receive a notification when a new comment is added to a task.
- New Attachment: Receive a notification when a new attachment is added to a task.
- Assignees Changed: Receive a notification when the assignee changes.
- Include Private: This option will include all private tasks, Lists, and Folders.
Tasks in multiple Lists will only create Slack notifications if their home List is included in the selected location.
Enable Personal Slack Notifications
Once the Slack integration has been enabled in your Workspace by an admin or owner, you can customize the personal Slack notifications that you receive.
To configure your personal Slack notifications:

Click on your Workspace avatar in the lower left and choose My Settings from the menu.

In the sidebar, select Slack Notifications.

Select a Workspace.

Optional: Select a Folder and List.

Select the Slack channel where the notifications will be posted.

Click the settings cog to adjust the types of notifications you receive. You can get notifications when the following actions happen in ClickUp:

Task Created: Receive a notification when a new task is created.

Status Changed: Receive a notification when a task's status is changed.

New Comment: Receive a notification when a new comment is added to a task.

New Attachment: Receive a notification when a new attachment is added to a task.

Assignees Changed: Receive a notification when the assignee changes.

Include Private: This option will include all private tasks, Lists, and Folders.

Assigned to me: This option will only send notifications for tasks assigned to you.

Click Save.
Once personal Slack notifications have been configured, you will always be notified in Slack when you are mentioned by someone in your Workspace. The notification includes:
- Who mentioned you
- The name of the task or subtask you were mentioned in
- The status of the task or subtask you were mentioned in
- Comment information
