Use Automations for PMO teams

ClickUp Automations help you save time and increase efficiency. We recommend that PMO teams use Automations for the following:

Apply templates

Create an Automation that applies templates to newly created tasks, Lists, Folders, views, or Docs. When you create an Automation that applies templates, we recommend setting it up at the Space level so it applies to every task in your PMO Space. You can customize templates to include every important detail your team needs.

Set Custom Fields

Create an Automation to set a Custom Field when a new task is created in a specific location. Use this Automation to organize your PMO Roadmap List.

Add tasks to Lists

Create an Automation to add a task to a new List when its Custom Field meets specific criteria. Use this Automation to make sure all status report tasks are added to your Project Health List.

Email task updates

Use an Email Automation to send project-related emails and updates when specific criteria are met.

You can create email templates that use dynamic content to send relevant information to recipients.

Mention individuals or Teams

You can create an Automation that mentions an individual or Team in the comments. Use this to notify you of a new project request that needs to be triaged, or when a status changes.

Create an automated workflow

You can automate most of your workflow using ClickUp Automations. For example, you can create an Automation that changes a task's assignee, Priority, and List when its status changes.

Create your own Custom Automations or use one of our pre-made Automations to create a tailored and efficient workflow.
