Sync Calendar views with an external calendar

Save the time spent switching between your calendar and ClickUp.

Sync ClickUp with your Outlook, Apple, or other calendar to easily keep track of your task due dates.

This is a one-way sync. Changes made in ClickUp will be reflected in your external calendar app, but changes in your calendar app won’t sync back.

What you'll need

  • Syncing a ClickUp calendar externally is available on every ClickUp plan.

  • Guests can't connect ClickUp with an external calendar.

Sync with external calendars

You can sync tasks with upcoming due dates so they display on an external calendar.

Tasks with due dates in the past will not sync to external calendars. Tasks with a due time but no start time will start at midnight in the calendar.

From the App Center:

  1. Search for and select Apple Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
  2. Click Configure.
  3. Next to the Apple Calendar, Outlook option, click Connect.

If you're receiving an error when attempting to sync an Outlook calendar, read Microsoft's guide on subscribing to a calendar.

  4. Choose the location from which you want to sync tasks.

  5. Select what you'd like to sync: All tasks or Tasks assigned to me.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Apple Calendar or Outlook to sync your calendar in a new tab.
    • To sync with a different external calendar, click Copy in the Calendar Subscription URL (iCal) field. Paste the URL into your external calendar app.
  8. To sync with more ClickUp locations or add additional calendars, click Connect and repeat the above steps for each new location or calendar.

There is no way for us to remove the tasks that have been created by ClickUp once they are synchronized. You will need to remove them from your calendar.
