Translate and localize with ClickUp AI

Use ClickUp AI to translate so you can localize your content. Our AI feature's UI also uses the language you've chosen in your settings.

Languages

ClickUp AI can translate the following languages:

  • English
  • French 
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese
  • German
  • Italian
  • Swedish
  • Dutch
  • Korean
  • Japanese
  • Chinese
  • Arabic

Translate with ClickUp AI

Write, generate, or paste the text into a location where AI can be accessed. Then, there are two ways to translate using AI:

With the text toolbar

To translate using the text toolbar:

  1. Highlight the text. 
  2. From the text toolbar, select Edit.
  3. From the AI modal, click Translate.
  4. From the language dropdown, choose a language. 
  5. The Translate modal opens, and the selected text is translated. 

Using the AI /Slash Command

To translate using the AI /Slash Command:

  1. Underneath the text, type the /Slash Command /ai. From the ClickUp AI dropdown, select a language.
    • You cannot do this from a sent comment. 
  2. The Translate modal opens, and all of the text above the /Slash Command is translated. 

After translating, from the Translate modal, select one of the following:

  • Try again: Generate slightly different content. 
  • Like or dislike: Help us improve ClickUp AI by providing feedback. 
  • Ask Brain to edit or write: Ask Brain Assistant to edit the selected text or make it better. 
  • @mention: @mention specific tasks, Docs, people, or Channels.
  • Saved prompts: Open your and your team's saved prompts.
  • Replace with this answer: The translation replaces the selected text.
  • Insert below: The text pastes into the open location. The selected text remains.
  • Copy: Copy the text to paste it into another location manually. You can also manually copy any part of the generated text.
  • Save & continue in Ask AI: Click to save the task and open Brain Assistant. The task will be in the Brain Assistant modal in case you need to edit it.
  • Back: Return to the previous menu.

ClickUp AI localization

ClickUp AI generates responses in your language. In addition, we are localizing AI UI text. We will continue to refine localization as we develop this feature.

By default, AI uses the language you've chosen in your settings. If you prompt AI in a different language, AI will respond in that language.

The following languages are currently used by ClickUp AI for localization:

  • English
  • Français
  • Español (España)
  • Español (Latinoamérica)
  • Português (Brasil)
  • Deutsch
  • Italiano
