Change your username, email, or password.

What you'll need

  • Passwords created for ClickUp must be a minimum of 8 characters and include a minimum of one uppercase character, a minimum of one lowercase character, and a minimum of one number or special character.
  • Separate SSO providers used with ClickUp can enforce their own password policies, including length, complexity, age, and history.
  • You cannot change your email and password after signing in with the Continue with Google option. 

Change your username, email, or password

To change your username, email, or password:
  1. In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. On the My Settings page in the Profile section, enter your new username, email, or password.
    • When entering a new email, depending on your Workspace's security settings, you may need to complete some verification steps.

  4. In the lower-right corner, click Save changes.

Single Sign-On (SSO) issues

Adding a password helps ensure the verification step can be completed successfully when updating your email on a Single Sign-On (SSO)-linked account. 

While using SSO, if you successfully update your email address and it reverts to the old address, add a password and then update your email again.
