Download the Brain MAX Chrome extension

To get started, download the Brain MAX Chrome extension.

If you use single sign-on (SSO) or two-factor authentication (2FA) in your Workspace, these methods will be used to sign in to the Brain MAX Chrome extension.

Open the Brain MAX Chrome extension

Open the Brain MAX Chrome extension on any webpage to start using your AI companion:

• In the lower-right corner, click the floating ClickUp Brain icon to open the Brain MAX sidebar.

  If you don't see the icon, ensure you have the Show on all domains or Show on this domain setting activated.

• In the lower-right corner, hover over the floating ClickUp Brain icon and select one of the options:
  • Summarize: Open the Brain MAX sidebar and summarize the page.
  • Bookmark: Open the Brain MAX  sidebar and bookmark the page by creating a task in your Personal List for it.
  • Talk to Text: Open the Brain MAX  sidebar and start recording your voice.
• In the upper-right corner of the browser, click the Brain icon if the extension is pinned. Otherwise, click the puzzle icon and select Brain MAX.
• Open a new browser tab to start using Brain MAX Home. The Brain Home Tab setting must be activated.

Pin the Brain MAX Chrome extension

Quickly access the Brain MAX  Chrome extension by pinning it. There are two ways to pin the extension.

From the Brain MAX  sidebar

To pin the Chrome extension from the Brain MAX  sidebar, click the pin icon in the upper-right corner.

From the Chrome extensions menu

To pin the Chrome extension from the extensions menu in Chrome:

1. In the upper-right corner of the browser, click the puzzle icon.
2. To the right of Brain MAX, click the pin icon.

Create a task from any webpage

Find the perfect venue for an offsite? Get inspired by the design of a website? Create a ClickUp task from any webpage in seconds.

To create a task from any webpage:

1. In the lower-right corner, click the floating Brain icon to open the sidebar.

   If you don't see the icon, ensure you have the Show on all domains or Show on this domain setting activated.

2. Tell Brain about the task you want to create.
   • Optional: Take a screenshot of the current tab and add it to your request by clicking the screenshot icon.
     
3. Press the send icon.

Summarize or bookmark a webpage

To summarize or bookmark a webpage:

1. In the lower-right corner, hover over the floating Brain icon.
2. Choose to summarize or bookmark the page:
   • Summarize: Click the page icon to have Brain provide a full summary of the page you're viewing in the sidebar.
   • Bookmark: Click the bookmark icon to have Brain create a task using only the context from your current webpage. The task will be added to your Personal List unless you specify otherwise.

Create a task from Gmail

Create a task from an email in one click!

Tasks created from Gmail using the Brain MAX Chrome extension are added to your Personal List unless you specify otherwise.

The Gmail Capture Email setting must be activated.

To create a task from an email:

1. Open an email in your Gmail inbox.
2. Under the sender information, click Add to ClickUp.
   
3. The task will be created in your Workspace. The task name will be the email subject and the description will include relevant details from the email body.
4. In the Brain MAX sidebar, respond or select one of the follow-ups at the bottom.

Copy, share, or regenerate results

Copy, share, or regenerate Brain MAX Chrome extension results by clicking the copy, share, or refresh icon directly under the result.

Summarize web searches

When you search the web, the Brain MAX Chrome extension will automatically provide a summary for you.

To respond in the Brain MAX sidebar, click Ask Brain... under the summary. You can ask follow-up questions or have the Brain MAX Chrome extension take action in ClickUp for you!

Chat with Brain

Have Brain answer your questions, search your Workspace or connected apps, and more using the Brain MAX Chrome extension.

Update the extension's settings
