What you'll need

View proofing comments

You can easily view all the comments added to task attachments from a task. You can also view proofing comments that are assigned to you in Home.

You'll see assigned and resolved proofing comments in the To Do section of a task, along with the file name and a small thumbnail preview.

When viewing task attachments that have proofing comments, the number of unresolved and resolved comments are displayed above the attached file.

To view Proofing comments on a task attachment:

  1. Open a task

  2. Scroll to the To Do section

  3. Proofing comments will appear with a small preview image and the filename before the comment

  4. Click the comment or open the attachment to preview the file

  5. Click Comments

  6. Click Show resolved comments to revealed comments that have been marked resolved

Add comments to images

You can add comments on images that use the following file formats: PNG, GIF, JPEG, and WEBP.

To add a comment to an image:

  1. Open a task

  2. Add or open an attachment

  3. Click Add comments in the top-right of the preview window

  4. Click on the image wherever you want to add a comment

  5. Assign the comment or leave it assigned to Anyone

Add comments to PDFs

To add a comment to a PDF document:

  1. Open a task

  2. Add or open a PDF attachment

  3. Click Add comments in the top-right of the preview window

  4. Click on the PDF preview wherever you want to add a comment

  5. Assign the comment or leave it assigned to Anyone

Add comments to videos

You can also add comments to videos using video proofing. Supported video formats include MP4, WEBM, and Ogg for Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

Safari does not support Ogg video format. 

To add comments to videos:

  1. Open a task

  2. Add or open a video attachment

  3. Click Add comments in the top-right of the preview window

  4. Click on the video wherever you want to add a comment
    Note: Your comment will display the timestamp of the video and appear in the playback bar so you can easily find it later.

  5. Assign the comment or leave it assigned to Anyone
