Customize your Chat settings.
My Settings is available on every ClickUp plan to all user roles.
Open the Chat settings page
To open the Chat settings page:
- In the upper-right corner, click your personal avatar.
- Click Settings.
- In the My Settings section of the sidebar, click Chat.
Update your settings
The following Chat settings can be adjusted:
| Setting | Description |
| Chat Sidebar layout | Choose your layout mode for the dedicated Chat sidebar. This setting will not affect the Home sidebar's layout. There are two layout options: • Organized • Recents |
| Show quick reactions | Choose if and how emojis display when you hover over a Chat message: • Off: Do not show quick reaction emojis. • Frequently used: Your most-used emojis will be your quick reaction options. • Custom: Select your own quick reaction emojis. |
| Sidebar Labels | Show or hide the Channel's parent location in the sidebar. |
| Chat Sidebar Count | Choose how the standalone Chat sidebar button informs you that you have unread Channels or DMs. Options include: • Badge with unread count • Indicator dot only |
