Data hosting

ClickUp is hosted entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS), providing end-to-end security and built-in privacy features. 

Our team takes additional proactive measures to ensure a secure infrastructure environment. The infrastructure is in a fully redundant environment with restricted access. 

Data hosting

It does not matter in what location your data is stored. We treat all data the same way and use standard technical and organizational measures for all data safeguards.

ClickUp customer data is stored and synced within one of these five AWS regions around the world:

  • Oregon, US
  • Ohio, US
  • Sydney, AU
  • Singapore
  • Dublin, IE

Customer data

Customer data refers to core Workspace data such as tasks, Lists, Folders, Spaces, Docs, Goals, attachments, Automations, and the core features associated with your specific Workspace ID.

Global data protection legislation

ClickUp takes privacy seriously and designs products with a privacy- and security-first mindset.

All ClickUp plans meet the requirements of the current global data protection legislation including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
  • European Data Protection Legislation
  • LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law),
  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018) as ammended by the CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act of 2020)
  • VCDPA (Virgina Consumer Data Protection Act)

Localized data hosting

ClickUp also allows Enterprise Plan customers to select where their data is stored. There is no charge for this service. ClickUp will not change your hosting region without your consent.

Customers can request the following locations:

  • Only in the US
  • Only in the EU
  • Only in Singapore
  • Only in AU

Localized data storage

Integrations, Whiteboards data, and Workspace avatars will be stored outside the selected region.

User data such as login authentication, Notes, and Reminders will be stored in the global region.

Localized data processing

Some data may be processed outside of the region you select for certain services or ClickUp features. When the feature has a subprocessor, for example ClickUp AI, data used by that feature is processed outside of the selected region. Take a look at ClickUp's subprocessors and their data hosting locations.

You can limit your use of some of these subprocessors by not using their provided services and avoiding specific ClickUp features and functionality. Your Account Management team can help you turn off certain ClickUp features.

Request localized data hosting

Customers on the Enterprise Plan can contact their Account Management team to request localized data hosting. The amount of time it takes to migrate your data varies. Our team will keep you informed as your request is processed.

Enterprise customers in the following countries will be hosted automatically in the Australian region:

  • Australia and New Zealand

Enterprise customers in the following countries will be hosted automatically at the Singapore data center:

  • Yemen
