How to Measure Your Sprints

With a way to identify the current Sprint using the Sprints ClickApp, easily keep your Dashboard updated with the latest data from that location.

Widgets were renamed to cards on March 9th, 2023.

Burnup & Burndown Cards

  1. Click + Add Card

  2. Select Sprints

  3. Select Burnup or Burndown

  4. Name your Card

  5. Under Source, select Sprints ClickApp to filter only for Sprints

  6. Under Sprint, navigate through the Hierarchy to select the Sprints you want used
    - We suggest selecting Current Sprint so the card will be updated every time a new sprint starts based on your sprint cadence.

  7. Time Range will automatically update to show the date range of the Sprints you have selected.

  8. Choose how you want to view your X-axis (Days are suggested)

  9. Under Amount of work, select from a variety of fields like Sprint Points, Sprint Points CF (a Custom Field), or tasks

  10. Adjust the toggles if you want to include subtasks and archived tasks

  11. Decide whether you want to include Tasks in Multiple Lists (On is suggested)

Note: Select multiple Sprints even if they aren't in the same Folder because the chart is only showing you a total amount of work completed.

Velocity Cards

  1. Click + Add Card

  2. Select Sprints

  3. Select Velocity

  4. Name your Card

  5. Under Source, select Sprints ClickApp to filter only for Sprints

  6. Under Sprint, navigate the Hierarchy to select the Sprints you want to be used.
    - We suggest selecting an entire Folder

  7. Under Sprint Duration, we'll display the duration of your Sprints for reference

  8. Under Time Range, select the number of sprints in the past you want to look at to calculate average velocity.

  9. Under Amount of work, select from a variety of fields like Sprint Points, Sprint Points CF (a custom field), or tasks

  10. Adjust the toggles if you want to include subtasks and archived tasks

  11. Decide whether you want to include tasks in multiple lists. We suggest turning this on.

Note: You can only select from Sprints within the same Folder because this card is meant to show your average amount of work completed for the time period you defined.

Update an existing card

If you already have some Sprint cards created, simply update the settings to show the data for Sprints.

  1. Open your Dashboard

  2. Click the ... in the top right corner of the card

  3. Select the Settings icon for that card

  4. Follow the steps above to make the selections for the card you want to update

Note: To ensure your data is summarized correctly and that your cards refresh, organize the Sprints you want summarized into a Folder. The current Sprint cannot be automatically summarized on the Space level.
