Intro to Whiteboards

Whiteboards are built for collaboration. Whiteboards make it easy for distributed teams to brainstorm ideas. Everyone can see each other's edits and cursor movements in real time.

You can create and edit tasks and Docs from a Whiteboard to turn ideas into actionable projects!

Create a Whiteboard

You can create a Whiteboard in the Sidebar, as a view, from the toolbar's Create items button or Quick Action menu, and Whiteboards Hub.

Add items to Whiteboards

Items are the building blocks of a Whiteboard. You can add items, like shapes and connectors, using the Whiteboard toolbar.

Try Whiteboarding with a stylus or on a tablet!

Use Whiteboards Hub

Use Whiteboards Hub to organize, search, and create Whiteboards from one centralized location.

Add tasks and Docs to a Whiteboard

Add tasks and Docs to your Whiteboard and edit them without leaving the canvas. Tasks and Docs have the same functionality as the other Whiteboard items, you can duplicate, connect, and draw on them!

Directly connect your ideas to your work by converting shapes, sticky notes, or text into a task.

Share and set Whiteboard permissions

You can also share and set permissions for Whiteboards with the people and Teams in your Workspace.

Create and use Whiteboard templates

Templates help you jump-start your everyday Whiteboard activities so you can spend more time brainstorming. Template a Whiteboard that your team uses regularly. Or choose from the ready-to-use options on our Template page.
