Not sure how to assign your team roles?
For an IT leader, Workspace ownership is right. For someone building workflows and making significant changes? The admin role. A person who logs in and gets work done should be a member. And if you need an external collaborator for a short-term project, make them a guest!

Guest user role types
Guests are people from outside your organization. People who use your organization's email domain cannot be added as guests. Instead, add them as a limited member or limited member read only.
There are different guest-type roles to fit the needs of people from outside your organization who need limited access to your Workspace.
Member user role types
There are different member-type roles to fit the needs of people in your organization.
Admin role
You can think of admins as members with extra permissions to manage the Workspace.
They are responsible for managing the Workspace including billing, permissions, and integrations.
Owner role
The owner created your Workspace or had ownership transferred to them. Each Workspace can only have one owner.
Custom roles
On Business Plus and Enterprise Plans members, owners, and admins can be given custom role permissions. With this feature, owners and admins can create roles other than guest, member, and admin. For example, super admin, editor, limited member, or any role that suits your needs!
Additionally, Workspace owners can designate who can create and edit Custom Roles.
Limited members cannot be given custom role permissions.
Default user role permissions
Take a look at our article Default permissions for limited members, members, and admins to learn which actions are given to these user roles by default.
Invite people to join your Workspace
Invite people to join or collaborate in your Workspace. Members are invited. Workspace items and locations are shared with guests, limited members, and limited members read only.
Convert user roles
Workspace owners and admins can view and convert assigned user roles.
When you convert someone, their access and permissions will be updated to reflect their new role. They will have access to the features available for that role.
