You can turn tasks into Milestones to signify a major accomplishment, like releasing a new feature. Quickly identify which tasks are Milestones by the diamond icon and bolded task name.

In ClickUp 3.0, Milestones are a custom task type, not a ClickApp.

What you'll need

• Milestones are available on all ClickUp plans.

  • Free Forever: 10 uses

  • Unlimited and above: unlimited uses

• Guests cannot mark tasks as Milestones.

Enable the Milestones ClickApp

Workspace owners and admins can enable the Milestones ClickApp for your Workspace.

To enable Milestones:

1. Click your Workspace avatar.

2. Select ClickApps.

3. Browse or search for the Milestones ClickApp.

4. Click the Milestones ClickApp.

Turn a task into a Milestone

To turn a task into a Milestone:

1. Open any task.

2. Click the ellipses ... menu:

   • In ClickUp 2.0, select Convert to and choose Mark as Milestone.

   • In ClickUp 3.0, select Task Type and choose Milestone.

View a Milestone

You can quickly identify which tasks are Milestones by the diamond icon and bolded task name in all views and task mentions.

Milestones will display on the due date or start date of the task if no due date is available.

In Gantt view, Milestones are represented as a diamond shape, so you can easily identify them. Their color varies in Gantt view depending on your color scheme settings.

Filter by Milestones

If you want to see all of your Milestone tasks in one place, you can create a filter to show only Milestones!
