Internal guests can send requests to upgrade to a member. Approving or ignoring the request is up to you!
Internal guests are people in your organization you've shared specific items with. Internal guests are charged as full members.
There is currently no way to disable this feature.

What you'll need

Request to upgrade to member
Internal guests will see a modal letting them know they can request full access to this Workspace.
To send the request, the guest clicks the Request full access button at the bottom of the modal.
Ignore or approve the request
When a request is sent, anyone in the Workspace with permission to add members receives it. The request is received via each person's preferred Inbox and email notification settings.
To allow or deny the request:
- You'll see a user request message in your email and Inbox's Important tab.
- Click the message.
- Select Ignore or Approve.
- You can also convert the user's role in your Workspace settings.
Request expiration
Requests are valid for 14 days. After 14 days the request is canceled and a new request can be submitted. Guests cannot send a new request while one is still pending.
